"An interesting piece of work, freely chosen, which has the virtue
of inducing concentration rather than fatigue, adds to the child's
energies and mental capacities, and leads him to self-mastery." |
Admission The first step toward admission to our school is to visit us for a personal tour. Parents considering a Montessori education for their child should also educate themselves on the theories of Dr. Maria Montessori and the differences between Montessori education and traditional education. Programs We offer a Full day program from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a Half day program from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Our Toddler program is for children from 18 months to 3 years and our Preschool/Kindergarten Program is for children from 3 to 6 years. We also offer a before school program beginning at 7 a.m. and an after school program concluding at 6 p.m. Nutritious, catered hot lunch is available at a per meal rate or children may bring their own lunch. Important Dates Although we sometimes have openings near the beginning of or during the school year, generally, parents wishing to enroll their child at our school should begin the admission process in February of the year in which they would like their child to enter either in the Summer session or in the Fall. Tuition Tuition includes Montessori materials, snacks, insurance, Weekly Readers, Art, Music, French, Spanish, and a monthly musical program presented by professional musician/vocalist/songwriter, Diane D. Bello. It also includes one evaluation for Kindergarten students by a Psycho-educational specialist.
